THE FAMILY: MENTORSHIP 2017

Posted by on

This spring we continue on with our mentorship initiative by engaging in positive conversations to provoke critical thought among the youth.

With many of the returning young adults set to begin life after high school, we center a majority of our conversations on trying to pin point one’s true passion. Whether sharing stories through media to trigger relevant dialogue, or sharing our local resources in the community to encourage entrepreneurship, the message remains clear: ‘work towards achieving one’s goals’. That one thing we hope to see ourselves waking up every morning to pursue without regret.

We feel it’s important to encourage the youth to explore their hidden talents and try new things, while giving back to their communities. This allows them to begin to understand how the system can work for you or against you. Oh, and we listen too; because these kids have more to say and offer than we sometimes give them credit for.
