At the start of the COVID19, we felt the responsibility as a people to ease the pressure of this pandemic off of the families who need it the most. Although we had to be physically distant from each other, it is during difficult times that it is important to be closer than ever and show the most unity.
We created a GO FUND ME and were able to raise $10 000 in order to provide 100 grocery store gift cards to 100 different households from our communities.
The gift cards were distributed to some of our community partners which include The Leaders Baseketball Program, L'Organisme Tendre La Main & The Boys & Girls Club Of Dawson, who have direct relationships with families in need.
We thank everybody who shared, donated and helped show the power we have as a community.
Salute to our brother BRYAN ESPIRITU for inspiring this with his "Change for a Hundred" initiative in Toronto.
WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!
